BOOKING and CANCELLATION POLICIES A deposit of $125 is required when booking a headshot or modeling session PAYMENT Payment in full is required at your session. I accept checks or cash. session FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Q. What Clothing should I wear for my Portrait? A. Solid medium to darker tones (e.g. gray, black, navy blue) with long sleeves work best in most situations, since they help direct the attention to the face. If you would like to wear a suit (or a sports coat) and a tie please stay with solid colors for your coat, shirt, and tie as well. Should you go out and buy new clothes just for the photo session? That's up to you. The above description is a good general guideline for clothing that is helpful for portraits. However, it is just as important that you are comfortable and feel like you are yourself in the clothes you wear. This will assist you to allow yourself to be who you really are during your session. And this is what my portraits are all about. Q. What about Hair and Make-up? A. Women should have their hair appointment no later than a week prior to the session. This will help ensure that you look natural in your photographs. Wear the least amount of make-up that you are comfortable with. I realize that some people don’t feel comfortable without any make-up. That is ok. Just keep it to a minimum. It is much easier to retouch a few blemishes than to get rid of the pasty look of make-up in a photograph. Men need to consider their facial hair growth. If you have strong growth you may need to shave directly before the session. Also ensure that your hair looks natural. Q. Can you arrange a hair stylist and makeup artist? A. A hair stylist and a makeup artist can be arranged for $50.00 per hour - EACH - 1 hour minimum. Q. I am building a portfolio. How many images do I need? A . A portfolio normally contains 15-25 photos and tears. However, the key is QUALITY -- not QUANTITY. A portfolio with 5 great shots will always be better than a portfolio of 5 great shots and 20 mediocre ones. Careful editing and updating to "refresh" your shots is important. As you gain experience and more photos & tears, use your best new shots to replace older shots in your book. Also, use different photographers. We all have our own styles! YOUR PROOFS Photo proofs are scaled-down low-resolution and untouched images. After your photo shoot, you will receive your "photo proofs" on CD. You can easily browse through all the photos from your shoot to pick out your favorites. Once your favorites have been selected, they are processed to make them look as perfect as possible. Photo proofs are not intended to be used for any purpose other than as proofs. OUTDOOR SESSIONS If we are shooting OUTSIDE, bring your favorite music, lots of drinking water, and some fruit for a snack. Guys - Bring a razor if you want some shots with stubble and some without. 4-5 different tops. Focus on solid colors, textures & clean neck lines. I shoot for full frame, mostly vertical and tight shots to focus on the SPARKLE in your eyes. Come well rested and ready to SHINE. No family, friends or pets please. |
